blues have always changed mangers quite frequently, and with bruce being at the club for six years i think is the reason for this drought. we are bored with the club, its as simple as that. same board, same manager, same transfer targets, same tactics.

we need a breath of fresh air.

Trevor Francis had a fair un prior to Steve Bruce, but really, the last time I thoroughly enjoyed watching Blues was during the Barry Fry era.

I'm not bored with Bruce, or the management team, or anything on the field. I am bored of certain things, but the view tends to be unpopular with a certai section of supporters, so I'll just keep it to myself.

I'm bored of 'were doomed' attitude after the first few games. I'm bored of people on here taking the word of the press as gospel. I'm bored of anti SB threads, however well intentioned that they may be. I'm bored with threads assuming that they speak for the majority and not just for themselves. I'm bored of others insulting others with jibes such as 'go support the v illa'. I'm tired of having to leave spaces in the middle of words to avoid the filters.

:applause:
Im bored of the fans who after one defeat want the whole boardroom to be sacked.
Im bored of the hypocritical fans, who praise the team spirit at Chelsea, then say that there is no team spirit and they are playing like a bunch of individuals vs Boro.
Im bored of the fans who believe that moaning does some good wtf**
Im bored of the negative attitude and the dark cloud that hangs over St Andrews.
Im bored of sitting in lifeless crowds at St Andrews because the fans are always staying away for one reason or another.

personallyi think there's some truth in that. i think it's time for a change but i do worry that if we change the manager now we may let go of a pretty decent guy who would perform better without the contraints of the board around his neck.

they have misled fans for years - imo - and continue to do so whilst bleating on about how stay-away fans are to blame! poor excuses. i think if there's any boredom then it lies with DS and mob!

Blue Bear: at least with Francis he got us to a cup final and play-offs - some drama for the supporters to get behind. look at our league cup campaign. struggle to win against a lower-league team then knocked out by a Prem club (possibly). i agree the days of Bazza were great but we've moved on!

TJDIXI: i totally agree with the spaces thing! we're not doomed however but we might be unless something gives...

Well its true, we're so inconsistent its unbelievable!

We did look like a team against Chelski, and

We did look like a bunch of people dragged off the street against Boro.

But its ok, don't change anything, let them gel for 20 games and lets look at the problem if we need 10 straight wins to stay up... everything will be fine guys, believe me :)

A breathe of fresh air would be nice. Bored of Blues and our predictably rubbish Performances. To be scared going in a game against Boro.. No aspirations what so ever.

imo people are becoming bored with football in general. because reality is there are maybe 4 teams who unless there is an upset will win the major competitions "ie" Fa cup Lge cup and Premiereship.

Whats left for the rest ? apart from relegation battles, and mid table obscurity.

So what are we going to do about it? Sit on the internet and moan about the malaise, or get down to the game against Bolton and scream the roof of the stadium? Kickstart the season with the sort of passion we hear talked about so often, but never actually materialises down the old ground anymore?

If the players, the manager, the board, the tea lady and the shed can't respond to a proper, good old-fashioned St. Andrews hotbed then they should ALL be hung out to dry. But we have our part to play, we CAN make a difference, we CAN be a twelfth man, we CAN intimidate the opposition, we've done it all before. We can make £380 for a season ticket seem like a far more acceptable price by getting a rocket up their backsides that will make every single one of those players feel thirty foot tall. We, the crowd, haven't got going yet this season. Why don't we take the lead and see if the rest of them can follow? If they can't, then they can't. We tried, they let us down. As it is, we're all letting each other down.

Or we can sit on the internet and continue to be bored as the players look lethargic, the manager looks bemused and the board look, well, bored.

There's no point being resigned to our fate. We have as much of an opportunity to change our destiny as any set of fans in this division.

I was saying exactly that to my brother after the West Ham game.
Suppose it's all about having to have passion or something.

We just watch. If they play well, score goals, excite us we'll be loud, if they play poor and negative football we will be quiet.
The atmosphere is controlled by what happens on the pitch for the majority of games(home games anyway). And I dont believe that the atmosphere ever controlls the way the team performs

Football aint changed much, its always been the same top 4 clubs win most things etc etc

If you didnt have the Man.Utds and Chelsea's etc of this world football would be a damn site more boring and i always say the dislike for the bigger clubs only comes through jealousy.

To even be in the same league as them should be incentive enough for people to be enthusiastic about seeing world class players etc.

How poor memories we all have ah!!! What about the championship season last term..how many exciting games (for those who actually go!) did we see? Many and i anint gonna list them. What about those premership games to many to mention? Well you would be right. And this term what about chelsa away? We have onlyplayed 5 games this term. I would rather play poorly and get the points, rather than play well and lose, why? Because its about gaining as many points as possable to survive. We have such poor memories. Ive been left shaking with nerves by watching my beloved blues on many occassions during brucy reign.

Penguin did we not have the best record against the top teams last year? Blues losing to lower teams as always been there no matter what league we are in, but tend to do well against the better teams. Francis (me hero) did get us to a final and play offs, but imo under bruce whos got us to the promise land twice!! as given more excitment than under Francis reign even with a relegation thrown in (remember loads of injuries).

It does not control it but it helps to susstain the way they play, it gives encouragement and the players become less afraid to try bits of skill etc which in itself encourages the fans and so on.
